"I challenge you to make your life a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk."

~Tony Robbins

"You can't give up something you really believe in for financial reasons. If you die by the roadside - so be it. But at least you know you've tried. Ten minutes in the music scene was the equal of one hundred years outside of it."

~ Robert Plant

"Success is almost totally dependent upon drive and persistence. The extra energy required to make another effort or try another approach is the secret of winning."

~ Denis WAitley

"More than art, more than literature, music is universally accessible...
If you are not doing what you love, you are wasting your time."

SUCCESS IN MUSIC

The Real Deal!

Graduate Randy Heeth knows the benefits of the apprentice training method: His path took him from his previous job as a handy man to being chief engineer at Easy Street Recording in Anaheim, where he served his apprenticeship.

"This program really works!" he says. "And I should know."

In order to fulfill his dream of becoming a Recording Engineer, Heeth originally attended Goldenwest College for Recording, but wound up dropping out.

"It was a joke," he recalls. "The only way to learn recording is the ZDT way: experiencing it yourself in a real working studio, with a mentor guiding you. When you're mixing, no book can teach you — you must feel it when you're doing it."

Not only did Randy get hired during his tenure there, but he climbed to the head of Easy Street Recording. And, he was involved in several landmark projects along the way: most notably No Doubt's Tragic Kingdom and Gwen Stefani's Love Angel Music Baby.

It wasn't easy, but Randy affirms that the results were worth all the hard work. "Nothing is greater than having a gold record hanging on my wall!" Randy concludes.

His Story

Although he had acquired years of experience on his own, Bob Rhodes found that his ZDT Entertainment Network apprenticeship took him to a whole new level.

"I was self taught, and thought I knew what I was doing," he explains. "But your program really opened my eyes to what I had been missing. The ZDT course covers a wide spectrum of things one needs to know to be a great engineer. From ProTools to the basics, I picked up a lot of great pointers." Just as exciting to Bob were the connections he made through the program.

At Electric Ladyland Studios — where many
of his personal heroes had recorded Rhodes
garnered more than just studio knowledge.

"It had always been a dream of mine just to be in that place," he says. "I was so grateful for the opportunity to steep myself in the history." But it didn't end there.

"One month I'm applying to the program, the next I'm talking shop with Steve Vai," Rhodes enthuses. "What a cool day that was!"
Building on the chops he gained, Bob went on to own and operate his own studio: Yabbo Recording. And he credits ZDT's Recording program with helping him get to where he is today.
"If you want to get into a music recording career, I highly recommend the ZDT entertainment network," says Bob. "It really does work."

After 15 years of working the daily grind at a job he hated, Robert Baily had had enough. He decided to fulfill his long-time dream of working in the music business, and chose the apprenticeship method to do it. "With your program, I learned so much more quickly than I could have at a normal 'school'," says Robert. "My mentor was a very friendly person who would answer any question I had, I got to work at my own pace, and, most importantly, he allowed me to gain valuable hands-on experience by letting me do most of the audio work in the studio." The program also gave Baily a solid grounding in all type of recording technique. "I found everyone at the studio very knowledgeable, about not only current hardware ,but older technologies, too," he says.
